BEACH NOURISHMENT UPDATE

 

AT THIS TIME, THE BEACH NOURISHMENT PROJECT WILL NOT BE DONE IN FRONT OF KAHLUA

 

At the May 18th 2010 meeting, the Fort Myers Beach Town Council decided by a 4 to 1 vote to end an existing statement and agree to certain terms to get the north end of Estero Island some needed relief.
 

The Council's conditions for the County navigational project are as follows:

 

!. The town will pay its $110,000 portion.

 

2. The county will provide a bond in case of problems with the project.

 

3.  The County will cooperate on the town's navigational program with it's approval.

 

4.  the County will pay for a Consultant

 

5. Stewart will report new technologies and estimated funding.

 

6. County must rescind existing property easements at it's cost
