Our family has a long history with Kahlua that goes back
to that very first day in 1978 when Kahlua opened. My
father saw a sign that advertised timeshare units for
less than $1,000. Not sure what a timeshare was or how
a "condo" could be less than $1,000 - we investigated.
Well, my wife (girlfriend at that time) ended up buying
two spring weeks and my parents also bought several
weeks.

Since the Christmas holiday season in Ft. Myers Beach
had already been part of our family for almost 20 years,
we thought in might make sense to buy some "Christmas"
weeks at Kahlua - so in the early 80's, we did. This
eliminated having to find a place to rent and deal with
uncertainty and rising rental costs. We started coming
down to Kahlua before our three kids
were born. While they were little, all was well - but
somewhat
crowded in our unit. We continued on that path until
the kids got a little older and bigger or maybe wanted
to bring a friend along. We then realized, we need more
room. So, we bought a couple of additional "Christmas"
weeks. Kahlua has been our families Christmas holiday
spot for over 25 years now. The kids met other kids and
they all "grew" up together for a couple of weeks each
year at Kahlua. This has developed some wonderful
memories that will last a lifetime.
Kahlua continues to change and improve the facility and
grounds but certainly has not changed the welcome
feeling you get when you stay here. The staff and
owners are great and we have a outstanding time being
with them. The social environment at Kahlua is like no
other - and those who are owners will certainly agree
I'm sure. Two of our three kids are now married and one
of them just bought a Christmas week at Kahlua - a new
tradition for a third generation is beginning and our
family's tradition at Kahlua continues. Without saying,
Kahlua, its staff and owners are very special to Jaster
family - all three generations now!
