Letter from Nate Allen, President of the Kahlua Board of Directors

Owners:

This morning our Board of Directors had an emergency meeting to discuss a proposed easement to the Town of Ft. Myers Beach in connection with the beach restoration project the Town’s council recently approved.  The Board voted unanimously to grant the easement.  Information regarding the project can be found on the Town for Ft. Myers Beach website or on this link:  http://www.fmbgov.com/beach

Regarding the restoration of Kahlua, we are still awaiting bids from contractors for the shoring of the balconies.  We hope to have those later this week.

We are confident that we will also have bids for the renovation of the building very soon.

We also continue to wait on the processing of our loan application to SBA.

Finally, we continue to work closely with our insurance agent on the wind and flood insurance claims and feel that we are nearing a point where we will have their estimate loss reports.

As I’ve shared in the past, we feel we are making good progress and doing our part to move this process along.  However, we are dependent upon others and will continue to patiently wait for their reports, feedback and information.  Once we have more definitive information, we will pass it along to you.

Stay patient and keep sending photos of your KBC memories.

Nate Allen
President
