Updates from Board Member Greg Jaster
 

  1. Meeting this week with RL James & Velocity to review concrete/stucco repair.  Desire to have RL James to be complete by April 30th (pending any unforeseen issues)

  2. Permits are still in process.  No additional requests since submittal (which is a good sign). If all is good, permits should be released by the end of April

  3. If things progress in a positive way (permitting), tentative date for starting the pool deck would be early May.  Pool spec is “Chlorinated Pool”. We plan to explore saltwater options for pool and spa.

  4. Tentative start date for elevator demo and install is June 16th.  Again, date pending permit approval by end of April. All parts are in stock now and in storage

  5. Building color will be selected soon

  6. Second floor sheetrock is now complete

  7. We are waiting details on when our FDC (Fire Dept.) can be installed (this is not site permit dependent). Requires closing a portion of Estero Blvd.

  8. Lightning protection installed, inspected and approved
     

Another item we’d like to look into:

  1. How will we minimize non-KBC guests from:

  • Using our restroom now that there is additional access from breezeway?

  • From using our pool coming in from beach?

  • From using our SPA tub?

  1. Fob, gate access: As we all know, non-KBC access has always been an issue.  It would be nice to minimize it if possible
     

We still have not been given an update on an “Open Date” which is unfortunate but understandable, with all the loose ends we have. We know many owners are wanting to make plans. Once we get permits and into the construction plan, we will have a better picture.
