Margaret Jaster
Margaret Ann Jaster (Dygve), 86, of Lakeshore, MN died at home, peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, September 16, 2017. Services will be held on Saturday, September 23rd at 11:00 AM at The Lutheran Church of The Cross in Nisswa, MN. Visitation, one-hour prior. Future interment at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls. Margaret was born March 25, 1931 in Minneapolis to Gottfried and Annie Dygve. She married Eugene “Gene” Jaster on April 28, 1951. They lived in Southwest Minneapolis, Deerfield, IL and Bloomington, MN. Over the years, Margaret worked for Minnegasco, Hennepin County, and the Mpls. Park Board. In 1988, they purchased a lake home in Lakeshore MN, and retired there in 1996. Margaret and Gene wintered in FL and AZ. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and gardening, but most of all, family. She was a member of the Nisswa Lions where she volunteered to send sympathy cards and work on the “White Cane” program, also a past member of the Nisswa Garden and Women’s Clubs. She is survived by her husband, Gene; sons, Greg (Cherie) Jaster of Plymouth, MN and Jeff Jaster of Fort Myers, FL; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, sister Katherine, brothers, Walter and Floyd. Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Brenny Funeral Chapel, Baxter MN.
